Compensation: $45,000 – $55,000/year Base (Commensurate with active TUPSS certification and experience) + Targeted Monthly Sales Bonuses
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced, results-driven Center Manager to lead daily operations at our brand-new North Fort Worth location. This role requires a hands-on leader who will take full accountability for the center's daily performance, staff management, customer service standards, and revenue growth.
Already a Certified UPS Store Manager? Candidates who currently hold an active UPS Store Center Management Certification will bypass the initial corporate training requirements, step immediately into the role, and be eligible for top-of-market starting compensation.New to The UPS Store? For the right leadership candidate with strong retail management experience, ownership will sponsor your full, paid enrollment in The UPS Store’s mandatory 4-to-5-week Corporate Management Training Program.Key Responsibilities
* Daily Operations: Oversee all front-counter operations, opening/closing procedures, daily cash reconciliations, and adherence to corporate franchise compliance guidelines.
* Staff Management: Recruit, train, and schedule a team of part-time associates. Manage labor allocation to align with weekly operational budgets.
* Inventory & Compliance: Maintain optimal stock levels for shipping, packing, and print supplies. Oversee accurate digital records and strictly enforce compliance for mailbox services (USPS Form 1583).
* Revenue Optimization: Drive center profitability through the proactive sales execution of high-margin services, specifically commercial print production, freight logistics, and mailbox renewals.
* Customer Service Excellence: Maintain a clean, highly organized, and efficient retail environment. Resolve escalated customer inquiries promptly and professionally.
* Adaptable Execution: Partner with ownership on center-level strategy and execute additional operational or administrative duties as assigned to support ongoing business growth.
Role Scope
While executive ownership securely manages all business banking, core accounting, and macro-financials, this role is highly collaborative. The Center Manager focuses primarily on floor execution, team leadership, and sales development, but will partner with ownership on localized strategy and assume evolving operational responsibilities as the business scales.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Industry Experience: Prior experience working in or managing a The UPS Store, FedEx Office, or closely related shipping/print center environment is strongly preferred.
* Leadership: 3+ years of retail management or supervisory experience, with a proven track record of managing staff schedules and driving sales goals.
* Technical Skills: Proficiency with retail point-of-sale systems (UPS MPOS or FedEx FXPOS) and basic computer applications.
* Notary Public: Must possess an active Texas Notary Public commission or be willing to obtain one within 30 days of hire.
* Physical Demands: Ability to stand for extended periods and regularly lift and maneuver packages weighing up to 50 lbs.
